How picky are we?

Now that we've seen and coded a lot of posts, I'm beginning to wonder
if I've been rejecting enough of the posts and want to consult with you.
I've used the 'adds nothing new' for very short, obviously minor
posts. However, I've tended to reflexively code up anything of any
substance at all. Now, I'm beginning to think that even a lot of the
posts of several paragraphs are actually adding little to the discussion.
What about the rest of you? Can we discuss this?
As an example, look at 3493, which has obviously had some thought put
into it, but the new parts verge on OTChatter or just opinion. Thoughts?
