Debbie staggers into the Catalogue office, looking haggard and wild-
eyed, and wielding a machete. The staffers look up, "Vengeance is
mine!" she shouts, the machete glinting in a shaft of sunlight as
she waves it above her head.
Fortunately, at that moment she is distracted by a strong -- and
heavenly -- aroma of chocolate. She slowly lowers the machete and
stashes it in a corner, realizing that she has dropped in on the
Catalogue Office Christmas Party.
> Jen is beginning to smile. "Yes, a party."

> "Better set up a very big coffee maker," Ginger adds.
Debbie reaches into her inside jacket pocket and pulls out a
slightly dented tin, and opens it up.
"Chocolate bourbon balls. I made them myself. They're my Christmas
specialty." She offers the tin around, helping herself to one of
Dungrollin's chocolates.
"After weeks of wallowing in sin, immorality, vengeance and, of
course, all those things that lead to foolish wand-waving, I really
need some chocolate to chase the dementors away. But," she said
brightly, "I've got my final report right here:
Original count: 773. Original/final counts per subcategory:
1.1.2 Morality vs. Immorality 335/136
1.1.2.1 Following/Breaking Rules 150/87
1.1.2.2 Responsibility 32/16
1.1.2.3 Respect/disrespect for authority 63/38
1.1.2.4 Rashness and Anger 125/41
1.1.2.5 Jealousy 104/50
1.1.2.6 Pride 34/19
1.1.2.7 Revenge 23/17
1.1.2.8 Justice 99/66
1.1.2.9 Contrition and Forgiveness 46/26
The main category now includes only general discussions of morality
in the series and posts on one or another of the Seven Deadly
Sins/Seven Heavenly Virtues that don't have their own subheads. The
others are self-explanatory; I generally removed all the Snape's
Anger/Ron's Jealousy etc. posts unless they had a broader point to
make.
"And, yes, it does add up to a bit more than 773. I want to blame
JKR's maths, but the real truth is that I kept shuffling posts
around and having to review them again. I think that calls for an
extra chocolate," Debbie says, reaching into the chocolate box and
the bourbon ball tin simultaneously.
