Tammy Rizzo:
Thank you for that definition. I *do* find that rather annoying, and it's one reason I stopped
using Outlook for my email, since I couldn't set it NOT to start messages at the top. Argh. I
hate doing things by hand if there's a way to automate it. ;-)

That's pretty much what I thought was meant by 'tennis exchanges'. Pointless back and
forth, back and forth. I know some people like tennis, I mean real tennis, but I've never
seen the point in the endless "are not, are too" type of exchanges. They're quite distracting
and boring and really don't belong. Anywhere. Well, at least, not on an active board with
plenty of topics to discuss.
Although I do remember a rather amusing series of such back-and-forth exchanges on one
of the Babylon 5 lists waaay back in the middle of '97 or so, when it was re-run season, and
everyone was bored, and there hadn't been any new analysis in weeks, and some brilliant
wit started a Drazi War ("Green!" "No, Purple!" "GREEN!" "PURPLE!" "orange?"
"PLAID!") However, that did at least have some creativity and purpose, and was therefore
FUN, as opposed to simple bickering.
