I will be there ... a quelle heure?

Someone mentioned Brighton as a good get-away from London. It's
certainly the nearest resort - forty minutes or so by fast train from
Victoria ... about an hour fifteen (or thereabouts) on a stopper from
Kings Cross City Thameslink via East Croydon, Gatwick, Haywards Heath
then Brighton - if you find the right train, the wizarding one takes
ten minutes and goes from Platform 10 5/8 (between Platforms 11 and
12) - and driving is usually a doddle, unless you're coming in at the
weekend during the summer, when it gets hellish.

I'll be in London for the 26th, obviously, but if there are moves
afoot for any Americans in the area to head out to the beach for a
day, then I'm in Brighton until June 29th ... and as long as nobody
bothers me between June 16th and 22nd (exam revision) then I'm free.

A thought just occured to me, if Yael's tour fancies heading down here
on one of the London days - the pier is great for small children and
little beachside cafes abound. It's a thought, and an embryonic one
at that, and there is plenty to see and do in London without taking
time to head out of the city. Anyway, a thought, maybe.
