Is there an English equivalent to the German saying: "The fox scorned
the grapes - that he could not reach - as to sour."?
If not: its easy to say something is bad - if you don´t have it. Is he
actually against earning money?
In his defense - he might attempt to say that he made enough money for
a lifetime and can take the leisure to make more movies like
"Schindler´s list". In which case he did not express himself to well.
You get the gist. We all know that he just didn't like

Haley Joel Osman is a great actor. But I cannot picture him as Harry.
Danile Radcliff might not be perfect - but he is closer than Osman.
