I dunno, I think he could pull it off--he strikes me as being very
versitle. Part of the reason why I like the idea is because I think
whoever plays Sirius should be very expressive but subtle, and CF has
that quality in spades--the man can convey whole volumes of subtext
with a single glance--though he's by no means the only actor with the
talent.
And I will admit, I'm pulling for this largely because I would love
to see those intense brown eyes peering out from behind a long mane
of tangled, dark hair...and of course, get him and Alan Rickman onto
the same screen and the ecstacy would be indescribable ;-)

unrealistic, have always been Al Pacino and Robert De Niro. Yes, they
are not British, but they are also two fo the best actors of all time
and would easily, in my opinion, be able to accurately portray Brits
(not to mention the fact that both are method actors, taking a lot
more time to prepare and accurately portray their roles). Also, both
already have the look and the feel of the characters- my personal
thoughts being Pacino as Sirius(If you've ever seen him as the devil
in The Devil's Advocate, you can see the fire with which he can speak
and would be perfect for the explosive but caring Black), and De Niro
as Lupin. I know its unrealistic to expect this, but hey, in a dream
world they'd make perfect picks, I think! Any Thoughts?

I don't know--I will concede that they could quite possibly rise to
the challenge, but I still have this image of Lupin going, "Hey,
fuggedaboudit!"
