I've been going through the frame-by-frame of the trailer that's available
on the Leaky Cauldron (thankyou thankyou thankyou)--my computer will, as was
the case with everything from the first movie, play me beautiful audio with
occasional stills for the video.

Anyway--that first shot of Snape on page 4--the head shot in the
McGonagall-Snape-Lockhart sequence. My, my, but isn't that a human
expression in his eyes? I'd be tempted to say this is the staffroom scene,
for he looks very worried, not nasty--but look at the background. Doesn't
that look like his office?

And later--on the 12th page--it clearly *is* the scene where he's just
nabbed Ron and Harry, he's showing them the paper. I'd bet my life this is
the same scene that the other shot is from.

So--what's with that expression? He should be either totally pissed off at
them, or totally overjoyed that he is about to get them expelled. That
expression is neither. He looks worried.

While this fits neatly into my own personal interpretation of Snape, I'm
surprised they let this show. The first time we see any concern out of Snape
is in the staffroom scene. I'm betting they changed something for this
expression to be there--Alan Rickman is too good an actor for this to be a
mistake. He's doing as directed.

Any ideas?
