Well, it's very hard to draw firm conclusions without the full
context of the finished film.
But both the worried expressions you refer to convey a little
differently when you are able to see the full-moving video, rather
than just a single still.
For example, with the first image you refer to (on page four of TLC's
frame selections), in the full-motion trailer Snape is swishing his
head from side to front, the way you do when someone says something
surprising. But then, once that sweeping motion is over, he lowers
his eyes ever so slightly, as if contemplating something . . .
perhaps he is disbelieving, perhaps he is making a connection with
some other tidbit of information . . . it's pretty much impossible to
tell.
With the second image you refer to (on page twelve of TLC's frame
selections), when you see the full-moving images, it begins to look
to me less like worry and more like an understated challenge:
i.e. "And how do you explain *this*?"
Of course, there could very easily be some sort of undertone of worry
in either of these situations--like I said, it's hard to infer
anything from so little information really. But hopefully that's
helpful. :-)
As for your inability to get the trailer to play the video fluidly,
are you downloading it to your hard drive first, or are you streaming
it off the Internet? If you are streaming it from the Internet
instead of downloading, then you will be subject to whatever speeds
your Internet connection is capable, and the result may be choppy.
So downloading it and then playing it is better.
If you have already downloaded it and are *still* having problems,
then the only reasonable explanation for this I can think of is if
your processor is slow, or the seek time on your hard drive is
extremely unusually large. In that case, you would have to download
a lower quality version of the trailer.
Amanda, feel free to e-mail me off-list if you want tech help with
this. I may not be able to help much, but I will do what I can.
-Luke
