Just some comments relating to previous posts...

The things that bothered me from the SS movie were that they left out
the "We know who we are, we're Gred and Forge", because it was one of
my favorite twin moments. That the sorting hat talked out loud. That
they pronounced Voldemort with the t, because I had always pronounced
it with with the t silent. And finally, how some characters referred
to Voldemort by name.

I'm not usually too picky, I was way too happy to see Harry Potter
come to life, even if it wasn't exactly like the books. I thought they
did an absolutly wonderful job with casting. Only one character
bothered me, Mrs. Weasley.. her voice was sort of.. painful to listen
to. And from what I've seen of CoS it looks like they did a great job
again. The woman they got for Professor Sprout is perfect! And I think
Kenneth for Gilderoy is great... I know he usually does serious stuff,
but he can be quite silly (prime example, when he did the voice of
Miguel in The Road to El Dorado). And I too will be cheering for Snape
in the duel! I love the snippit of it they show on one of the tv
commercials, where Malfoy gets hit by one of Harry's spells, and gets
thrown, spiraling backwards through the air. Anyway, I'm really
excited to see CoS, and it's helping the wait for the 5th book.

I heard that the new director wants to replace all the kids for the
fourth film because they'll be too old (don't take this as anything
but a rumor, it's just something someone told me, afterall, PoA hasn't
even started filming yet). I really hope that doesn't happen. I think
it would really take away from the films if they replaces the kids. I
know 7 films (or perhaps more, as there have been rumors of making
book 4 into two movies) is a huge commitment, and the likelyhood of
the entire cast staying with them is small... but I think it would be
really strange to see a different person as Harry, or anyone else. It
would be like if they switched actors for Luke Skywalker for Return of
the Jedi or something. (speaking of Mark Hamill... I hope none of the
kids get type cast like he did if they want to keep doing movies,
though since they're so young there's probably less chance of that) I
don't care if the kids are 20 years old for GoF... I'd rather have
them be in it. I mean, we see actors in their mid-twenties playing
high school students in movies and tv all the time.. and does it
really bother anyone? It doesn't bother me. Anyway, I'm starting to
ramble now.. so I'll shush, and end this with something I just found
on imdb.com .... :(

Irish acting legend Richard Harris is suffering from cancer. According
to British tabloid the Sunday Mirror, the former hellraiser has been
suffering an unknown cancer for two months - forcing producers on the
new Harry Potter movie to use a stand in for key scenes. Harris - who
plays Albus Dumbledore in the trilogy - became unwell working on Harry
Potter And The Chamber Of Secrets and was rushed to hospital in August
suffering from a severe chest infection. Movie bosses are now
considering alternative stars to fill Harris' boots if he is not well
enough to star in the third installment, Harry Potter And The Prisoner
Of Azkaban , which is due to begin filming in January. According to
the Mirror, the actor is now under the care of a consultant
hematologist who is one of the UK's leading cancer specialists. The
two-times Oscar-nominee has been in intensive care five times
previously and has been given the last rites on two separate
occasions. In the 1970s doctors warned him he would die if he didn't
kick his alcohol habit. But Harris is not one for regrets. He recently
said, "If I was analyzing myself I would consider myself an excessive
compulsive - which is everything I do has to be compulsive. I have to
go the whole way or it doesn't work for me."
