Okay, I know that the eye color change in Harry has
been extensively discussed. Suffice it to say that it
bothers me as well since JKR is setting us up to find
out something *very* important about Harry's eyes.
Now, the detail from the film version of CoS that
*really* bothers me is Hermione's hair. I just can't
stand how neat and smooth it looks! I thought it
looked wonderful in the first movie and I am
completely flabbergasted as to why they changed it for
the second. She is supposed to have bushy hair! It
just goes hand-in-hand with who she is. What's more,
how in the world is her sleek hair supposed to impress
anyone at the Yule Ball in movie 4 if it's already all
smooth and sleek looking?
Anyway, I think it's clear from the above paragraph
that I don't think it's at all silly. :) I am one of
those people who always says, "The book was better
than the movie." I know that a movie can't come out
exactly the same as the book but to me it's like
taking a Picasso, changing the the colors, and then
saying, "Look, it's a Picasso!" You're changing the
essence of what the artist created and that makes it
different from the original. I too have to look at
the movies and books as being separate entities. I
enjoyed the PS/SS movie very much but I view it as an
interpretation of JKR's work. The be all and end all
for me is the actual text that she wrote.
I'd just like to add that I will be extremely
disappointed if the Valentine scenes are not in the
movie, especially the dwarf singing Valentine. I will
also be upset if there is no scene of Gred and Forge
clearing the way in the hallways and announcing,
"Seriously evil wizard coming through." These are all
highlights of the books for me.

~Nicole, who pats Lilac on the arm and says, "There,
there. I'll be next in line for a visit with the good
doctor." :)
