You've never heard of 'the evil eye'? It's a fairly common way in even
modern mythology of magic for some one to curse some one else. To
curse them with a look. This is usually associated with Euopean witches.
So, my point is that there is some common precident for 'eye magic' or
at least 'cursed by a gaze'.
just thought I'd throw that in.
