Coddled Draco

Since this was something that occured in the film but not in the books,
I thought I'd bring it over here for some movie-canon discussion. 

In the film, Lucius was at the QUidditch match, but when Draco was in
the hospital, Lucius did not show up to check on his son. Even if
medimagic is much easier and quicker-healing than muggle medicine, was
it cruel of Lucius not to at least come to check on him?
