Logic would indicate that he should have a beard--I don't think hair 
care is a service available in Azkaban :-)  But for some reason, I've 
always pictured him clean-shaven as well.  Maybe it has something to 
do with the Sirius-as-sex-symbol mindset--long, tangled facial hair 
doesn't seem to fit into that.  Unless the people who aren't 
attracted to Sirius don't envision him with a beard either...
