Story on possible director for GOF

Cindy:"It seems that British director Mike Newell is interested in 
directing GOF and WB is interested in talking to him. I believe he 
also directed 'Four Wedding and a Funeral'. Nothing is even close to 
being a done deal, but it's an interesting tidbit."

I think there's one director best suited for GOF and, for that 
matter, OOP, who's 1) handled young actors in every film he's 
directed, 2) knows suspense and danger, and knows a young audience 
(wrote the script for the first Stuart Little movie):

M. Night Shyamalan, the director of "The Sixth Sense," "Unbreakable," 
and "Signs." He'd be perfect.
