OH, I absolutely love that opening idea! It would
perfectly set the mood for the entire film. A stormy
night at Azkaban, Fudge walking along the row of
cells... Suddenly a voice from inside one cell asks
Fudge for his copy of "The Daily Prophet" because he
misses doing the crossword... Fudge regarding him with
surprise and some alarm at how sane and reasonable he
still seems after so many years... Then Oldman
unfolding the Prophet to see a picture of the Weasleys
- and Scabbers - in Egypt...
Perfect! Susan, you have a future in directing. I
foresee it. ;)
And off-topic - someone mentioned believing that RotK
will indeed win Best Picture this year. It certainly
had better win. The Oscars will have no relevance if
they refuse to reward true cinematic achievement
because of genre or subject matter.
