You could well be right. It seems a bit odd that, even if they are out of
uniform more in PoA, they should be wearing exactly the same clothes in
every scene. Emma-In-Pink appears in the (presumed) Dementors
confrontation, and in the scene where she threatens Malfoy with her wand
(where was that in the book, btw?). I see that Malfoy's hair is 'au
naturel' in that picture, another possible indication that these are dress
rehearsals; if it's a permanent change, it would be a pity; the
slicked-back hair is part of the image of the character.
Dan-In-Stripy-Jacket is shown when he leaves Privet Drive, in the Dementors
scene, in the Leaky Cauldron (? from the Newsweek article) and on the
train. If these are indeed costumes, then Cuaron runs the risk of them
becoming too noticeable.

I would be sorry to see less of the uniforms in PoA. I thought that they
were well done, and in fact liked them better than the books' descriptions
of the robes. Wow. I think that that is unique...the only thing that I
thought that the films did better than the books.

Cheers,
Nicholas
