I thought I read somewhere that they're opening with the Quidditch World Cup
campground scene.  If so, they're just skipping the Little Hangleton scene. 
That may also answer your question about who Nigel and Bozo are.  Don't have my
books with me, but were they maybe characters mentioned in passing on the
campground?  A lot of names got thrown around in that scene...

And as you say, IMDB isn't always complete.
