Draco's creature?

You know I always thought it was just a chameleon but it is a rather 
weird looking one if it is. But it looks like a little like one.

But you know, you just reminded me of something I said the first 
time I saw it at the theater...Ron transfigures Scabbers aka 
Wormtail, who is actually an animagi. I would think that is a tad 
bit odd. I mean couldn't casting a spell on Scabbers/Wormtail cause 
him to reveal himself? I just always thought that was weird. I used 
to play DnD in college and I would think a person would have some 
sort of way to resist being turned into a water goblet. At least 
more so than a real rat or a lizard. Anyway, it is just something 
that sort of bothered me the first time I saw CoS.
