My husband said today, as we were checking out the Washington Post's
snippet on the Dan-in-the-nude shot,
"Bad career move...the play will probably flop and Dan will sink into
oblivion."
Can we say JEALOUS?!?!? Ha!
I truly hope Dan does well in this venture. I'm still amazed that the
shy little boy of 11 that we saw on interviews at the beginning of the
HP series, will be stripping down and simulating masturbation on a guy
playing a horse. Yikes! That's a BOLD acting move on anyone's part.
Apparently there will be some (no doubt premiumly priced) audience
seats right there on stage! Talk about intimidation! I mean how does
one work up the courage to do that? And at so young an age? Alan Strang
is such an intense role overall...they say Dan has been taking voice
lessons for about a year in preparation for this role. I've wondered if
any of the kids take acting lessons or just get direction from the
Director? Has anyone heard how Dan got this role? Did he go after it?
Was he approached?
Sounds like he's taking it seriously.
I wish him all the best!!
