I read an article recently (sorry, can't think  where) that said "a trembling 
Dan Radcliffe auditioned for Peter Schaffer at the  Old Vic two years ago," 
so yeah, he's involved in the revival.  I think he  supervised the script 
revisions that brought the 1970s references up to date,  among other things.  This 
article and another one I saw somewhere both said  he was delighted with Dan's 
casting as Alan.
