Yes, Alan does wear contacts in the Harry Potter movies. The dark
contacts along with the black wig make him fit JKR's description of
Snape.

Now, it seemed the contacts were always black (or at least very, very
dark)until the close-up scene when Harry breaks into Snape's memories
in OotP. In that scene his eyes appear medium brown. I was a bit
surprised by that.

...on another note ... Did Lucius and Snape seem a bit puffier in OotP
to anyone else? Maybe it was just the low camera angles. <shrug>
At any rate I think they (Isaacs and Rickman)are absolutely fantastic
in their roles! And I can't imagine anyone doing their respective roles
justice.
Carol, I agree I hope to see a bunch more of Snape in HBP and DH also.
Sadly, poor Lucius is in Azkaban and we don't get to see him again
until DH.

... But we FINALLY get to meet Narcissa! I am looking forward to that.
I know that several on this list have balked at the casting of Helen
McCrory as Narcissa but I am intrigued. With a white blonde wig and
blue contacts, I think she will be a marvelous visual conterpoint to
Carter's Bella. We'll see if she has the acting capacity to do Narcissa
justice.
