Carol responds:

I think it's highly unlikely that Xeno Lovegood would show up at
Remus and Tonks's wedding, or at Harry's birthday, both of which
would be small and private. Also, it's unlikely that DEs/MoM
employees would crash anything short of a huge event like Bill and
Fleur's wedding.

And if Bellatrix is supposed to have orders to prune her family tree,
Tonks's wedding to the werewolf has to occur before that
indispensable opening scene with Voldemort, Snape, et al. at the
Malfoys.

If the movie is made in two parts, as seems to be the plan now,
there's no reason not to introduce Bill as a new character.
(Moviegoers have already met Fleur--and why not bring back Krum for a
cameo while they're at it?)

Steph:
Carol, I'm actually hoping that you are right. I'd love to see a
big Weasley wedding! I'm just trying to think like the filmmakers,
and stuff like that's gone by the wayside in the past. I do think
that if it's two films the Weasley wedding could be in.

I also think that it's entirely possible that Bill and Fleur won't
be in HBP but could be mentioned by Ron and Ginny, which means there
could be the wedding.

The only thing that I hope they don't do in terms of this scenario
is cut Shell Cottage and have Ron go back to the Burrow when he
takes off. That wouldn't make any sense at all. I was just trying
to find a way to keep Shell Cottage in the film.

I was really kind of against two DH films when I first heard about
it, but now I'm warming to the idea. I just don't want to get too
excited until I know for sure that it's happening.

Carol:
who thinks that readers of DH will expect, and get, the big
Weasley wedding (but not the Veela cousins)

Steph:
Aww, come on, you don't want to see Fred and George hitting on the
Veelas?
