I started hammering out my stories on a typewriter when I was about twelve,
and never looked back (which is why I now type at about 120 wpm!). Until I
was seventeen, me, my stories, and the typewriter were all heavily covered
with Liquid Paper.

Then I got a computer and was MUCH happier, because it allowed me to indulge
my passion for re-working every sentence and paragraph until it glows (IMO
anyway) before going on to the next one. I now write exclusively on the
computer, and find working with pen and paper to be extremely frustrating
and limiting. Probably because I am a naturally neat person and I hate
crossing things out, writing in the margins, etc. (Although, also being an
artist, I doodle a great deal as well.)

I used to get all my best ideas late at night, but then I got married, and
got into the habit of going to bed of going to bed before 10 p.m. every
night. And now that we have a baby, that's pretty much written in stone.
So now I just write when I can, and hope for the best.
