I still shudder hearing the name of Joan Benoit, a marathon runner from
Maine. She pronounces it "BeNOIT", hard "t" at the end. I want to shout,
"BenWAH"!

My last name is pronounced "BOYko", rhymes with Elvis Stojko and
"TOYsew". I am amazed at the telemarketers that can squeeze four
syllables out of it. I like to joke that if I marry Elvis, I will be
Angela Boyko-Stojko and will really give telemarketers a hard time. :-)
