speculative piece in the Daily Prophet, about possible reasons
for delay in the publication of Joanne Rowling's latest instalment
in the ever-popular Harry Potter series. For those of you who do
not wish to support this rather suspect publication - or have not
the stomach for Ms Skeeter's somewhat hackneyed reporting
style - I reproduce a summary below. Naturally, I have no means

hypotheses, though to my ear the last has the ring of truth.

Hmmm, thought I posted a reply to this several hours ago, but it
seems to have Disapparated...
Small news item out of Ottawa suggests OoP may be out in fall,
though it was originally expected in July. Canadian publisher
Raincoast Books spokesperson said she doesn't believe
writer's block is responsible for the delay. Tried to sent this to
the wrong list earlier and was briefly Transformed into a tadpole
for my transgression. : )
Thank you, dfrankiswork, for a succinct reprisal of Rita Skeeter's
usual blather. If the GoF plot hole really has de-railed the rest of
the series, hope JKR has a moat around that mansion .... <vbg>
I agree with moongirlk re: Hagrid ducking so Colin Creevey gets
nailed instead. In fact, I could see that being cause and effect
right there: Hagrid diving for cover, not even noticing poor little
Colin directly in his path, who is promptly reduced to not much
more than a splotch on the ground.
Tried to play Find Harry earlier; ended up with my insides on the
outside. Had to steam-clean the carpet; what a mess....
