I was first introduced to ST during Next generation, and have just now
been able to really enjoy the fruits of the original series (I like some
of the story lines...especially that alternate universe since that shows
up later in DS9). My husband is a huge fan of the original series, and
we've been enjoying watching the episodes over and over. Now we're just
waiting for Next Generation to be released on DVD...

I vouch for B5 on two fronts. First Sheridan is just ultra sexy
(especially with he goatee), but the series, above all else, is just
incredible. There are very few stories that really touch me inside, and
B5 was one of the few that have. When the sci-fi channel, here in the
states, started to re-run all the episodes, I decided to give it a
chance. The first time I caught it was just too goofy, but I was 16/17
at the time. So my husband and I decided to watch all the episodes this
time and just deal with the goofiness. It was brilliant. Absolutely
brilliant. When the last episode ended, I was in tears and overcome with
emotion, and it literally caused me to look at things differently
(perhaps that's overly dramatic, but it did happen).

Neverending story did the same (in my teens), as well as this thing
called Harry Potter. I don't know how this one is going to end, but it
will sit way deep down inside of me just like B5 and Neverending story.

On another note...I'm perhaps slightly gushy cause I just got back from
a great sushi dinner where I might have had a little extra plum wine ;-)

P.S. I wonder what kind of team Rowling and Straczynski would end with
one or the other's death or in ultimate creativity and story writing.
