My name is derived from the elements "Laivino" and "-dil".
Unfortunately Laivindil was taken as a Yahoo!-ID, but Laivindur,
which is an equally valid translation of my name, was not, so I
grabbed it. The name Christian means 'follower of Christ,
christian', and at elm ( http://fly.to/elm ) the preferred
translation of Christ is Laivino, which mean "annointed one" (since
He is King in the Christian religion). The element -dil
means "friend of"; hence Laivindil means "Friend of the Annointed
One" or "Christ-friend". The element -dur means "follower of"
or "servant of", so Laivindur becomes "Follower/Servant of the
Annointed One" or "Christ-follower/servant". Laivino itself is also
suggested as a translation for my name, though I am not sure I agree
on that myself.
Best regards
Christian Stubø
