I got such a kick out of them!  While I agree with Catherine that 
these books are clearly written for children, there were plenty of 
jokes that kids wouldn't get (like "as unwelcome as wasps at a bar 
mitvah" - ouch!).  I think they are hilarious, especially how Count 
Olaf's disguises are so dreadful.

I also like the fact that I can read one an hour.  They don't compare 
to HP, though.
