Cellphones are everywhere in the US. You can't go anywhere without someone
talking on one. Streets, driving, in restraunts, standing in the middle of
the store blocking everyone.

My husband has one and carries it everywhere with him. Unfortunately, they
don't work at home for us due to the fact that we live way out from town in
a 'dead zone.' And I've found the thing more annoying that useful. When I
carry it, it always seems to not work when someone's calling or I forget to
turn it on. *g* I guess I'm just backwards or something. Though I have to
agree with you. Back in the day where when you were on a trip or something
and couldn't call home seems so very prehistoric to me now too. I think
that it is at least as important a leap as the first phones were in the
communications history, simply because of the possibilities they opened up.
