My cell phone hell....

I once got kicked out of a theater because of a cell phone.

We were seeing Almost Famous and this teenager was beside
me. During the first ten minutes of the movie, he was
talking to a friend on his cell phone. Not quietly either.
And at one point he even said "Yeah, I'm in a movie right
now. Probably pissing off everyone around me." I turned
and looked at him and said "Yes."

Anyway, about an hour into the movie, his phone rang and he
answered it and started talking again in a normal, outside,
non-movie watching kinda voice. People were turning around
and glaring at him, whispering to him to shut up, etc. He
ignored them and kept on talking. Finally I had enough,
took the phone from his ear and snapped it shut,
disconnecting the call. Several people applauded me but he
got up and left, bringing back the manager and the manager
asked me to leave. Several people boo'd. I shrugged and
walked out with the manager. I told him what really
happened, he said that wasn't at all what he was told and
gave me and my friends a pass to another movie that night.

I HATE CELL PHONES! I own one. But I bought it to help
out a friend meet her quota one month and I have never used
it. I don't even remember my phone number.

I realize, though, that they are required/important for
jobs, busy mothers with babysitters or kids at home, kids
with parents at home wanting them to check in once in
awhile, etc.

But they should have a minimum IQ requirement before one is
allowed to have one. Or at least a manners test that has
to be passed with a rather high score.

Sorry....that was my rant. Now back to the show....

"Each team will have the rest of the year to work on
their projects," Lupin continued. "Now, I've tried to
make these projects flexible to allow you to use your
own inventiveness - a great part of being a successful
Auror requires quick and adaptable thinking. It also
requires creativity-"

"I plan to make a diorama," said Draco solemnly.

"No," said Lupin patiently, "not that kind of creativity."

"But it'll be an evil diorama. And then Harry can destroy it."

Lupin's voice held a warning tone. "Draco."
