sounds similar to the BBC thing but some of those listed as interviews weren't in the bbc one. It's possible that the actual JKR interview is the same as the bbc one but with added extras from other people
I think ... but then I could be totally wrong

Subject: [HPFGU-OTChatter] JKR interview - "Biography"
Hi Everyone,
I'm sending this out, mostly as a query for those in the UK who saw the
BBC's interview with Rowling last month. I wasn't sure where to post
this, because there might be a discussion (so can't post to
Announcements), it's not about the movies (can't post to movies), and
can't post to the regular list because it doesn't deal with the books
(well it sort of does, but this is not a *book* discussion). Moderators?
On with my post...
Those in the US will be able to see Biography: "J.K. Rowling: Harry
Potter & Me" on the 21st on January, and I'm wondering if this show is
the same as the BBC documentary. There's also speculation that this show
aired last year in January, but the tvguide (US) shows that it will
first air in 2002.
It looks like there will be clips of other interview of fans, including
Daniel, Emma, and Rupert (from the movie). Does this sounds familiar? If
not, perhaps we'll be able to see the other side of the page of
wizarding powers for Harry and Draco and Ron, as discussed on the
regular list.
Thanks
-Katze
Here's the description:
"Biography: J.K. Rowling: Harry Potter & Me offers viewers a unique
insight into both the Harry Potter phenomenon and the life of the author
J. K. Rowling. The program explores the influence in J. K. Rowling's
life that link to the creation of Harry's story. For example some of
Rowling's favorite books, such as The Little White Horse, and fictional
characters, such as Jessica Mitford, have influenced her creation of
Harry. One of Rowling's favorite fictional families, The Simpsons, also
influenced her thinking. The program examines how the Harry Potter books
have helped a generation of children to rediscover reading. Viewers get
a peek at Rowling's creative process with notes and ideas scribbled on
scraps of paper written in cafes and on airplanes - such things as names
of Hogwarts Houses and ideas about Sirius Black's childhood.
Biography: J.K. Rowling: Harry Potter & Me also looks at the downside of
the Harry Potter success: the banning of the books in some American
states, an attempt by another author to claim ownership of Rowling's
work, and the loss of Rowling's privacy. The program offers hints of
what viewers might find in future Harry Potter books. In-depth
interviews include literary agent Christopher Little; British publisher
Barrie Cunningham; American publisher Arthur Levine; film director David
Heyman; Harry Potter fan Matt Groening; Rowling's English teacher Miss
Shepherd; the stars of the Harry Potter movie, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma
Watson and Rupert Grint; and J. K. Rowling herself."
