Having gone over to the UK this summer, the UK mobile system is
definitely different (A TV show completely devoted to mobile phones?
Yikes!). But, we should all be jealous, because your system and
coverage is far more advanced the US. In the US, "pay as you go"
plans do not exist (much to my chagrin). Pre-paid plans are simply
not very useful (either cost too much or the minutes expire too
quickly). For practical reasons like /I/ would like to use a mobile
would be only for very limited amounts of time...grah, I don't want to
get on my mobile phone rant. But I do wish we could be more like the
UK in that respect. (it also seemed like there were a /whole lot/ more
mobiles floating around--maybe Brits just use them more/more obviously
:-D)
