I have just the solution for all you cell-phone haters, for all you
afraid-to-talk-loudly-on-the-phone people, or for those who just don't
want to talk on the phone in the movie theatre.
As you know, I'm a deaf adult. That means I don't use the phone too
much (calling my family and people I know very well just to understand
their voice on the phone) so I have one of those cool pagers where I
can chat with someone without making any noise whatsoever. The pager
doesn't make any noise as well, it just vibrates. Thanks to AOL, I can
IM people anytime, even talk to people in other countries on my pager.
I can also recieve e-mail which is very convienent.
I never use it driving as well.
That's my solution for those who don't like cellphones/think they are
annoying. Get a pager and you don't have to pay for by the minute, long
distance, etc etc. My pager is about 30 dollars a month (I had another
one that was 50 dollars, so I cancelled it) and I just pay the 30
dollars, no more. Not for minutes. Not for Long distance.
This is from a girl whose phone bill averages twenty-five cents a
month.
get a pager!
*cuddling her pager happily*
