I live in {shudder} the Valley.  Tell me -all- about
the 405....

For the innocent, that is the main 'freeway' between
my end of SoCal and downtown LA.  During the commuting
periods, the average speed is, on a very good day, 25
to 35 km/hr.  For me this translates into a 90min+
trip, one-way.

I seem to recall a sporting contest held in November
of  last year....
