A slight question/correction, but having taught at UT,
I'm not surprsied at the 'dialectic' difference...

I presume the word the original author sought was
'concertina', to describe the modern form of
barbed/sabre wire.  Makes me wonder if that sort also
deploys Claymores and flare/fu gas traps inside their
perimeters as well.  Thank the God/dess that mortars
and howitzers aren't in common supply....

Lest any think that I don't like Texans, let me add
that one of my handfasts is a lovely lady who still
teaches at UT Austin.
