Need inspiration!

Ok...well...this suggestion isn't from the books, but rather from a 
fan fic(never even read the fic, just loved the quote.)  It was a 
witch saying something about a door to door vacuum salesman coming to 
her home, and then 'No wonder we have charms to keep them away.'  A 
variation of this could be 'No wonder *they* have charms to keep *us* 
away"
