When I was in school (and my sister still does this to this day, as she is a
senior in college) our parents gave us their gas credit cards, and that is
the only way we ever paid for gas. Nobody ever questioned it. It had our
dad's name on it, and as our names both start with the same letter as his,
we would just use our first initial and last name, and therefore would not
be technically forging. LOL
But, I have also used my mom's credit card, and my Grandmother's, while
shopping for them. Many times they have asked me to pick something up for
them, and hand me a credit card. I sign their names when I do this.
Sometimes, very rarely, I have been asked for ID when using one of my own
credit cards, but never have when using theirs. I'm not sure about all
credit cards, but the ones I have have a credit protection system, where if
someone stole it or found it and used it, I would only be liable for $50.
As long as it is reported stolen asap, that is.
