Thanks to Jeralynn for posting the DeLint quote. It
reminded me of an HP reference on the show "Futurama."
Anyone else out there a fan? Anyway, the show aired
last week Sunday and Al Gore was a "guest" on it.
Just to give you a bit of background about the show so
you have some context, it's an animated series created
by Matt Groening, the creator of "The Simpsons." It
takes place about 1,000 years in the future. One of
the main characters is supposed to have fallen into a
chamber on New Year's Eve 1999 and was cryogenically
preserved and then unfrozen in 2999. The heads of
many important historical leaders have been preserved
as well so people like Nixon make frequent
appearances. (Okay, now it sounds like the most
bizarre TV show on Earth but I think it's hilarious.)
Anywho, on this particular show Al Gore's head was
giving a speech about protecting the environment. He
was talking about a book he wrote on the environment
and then he said something like, "Or you may have read
my other, far more popular book, 'Harry Potter and the
Balance of the Universe'." Then there was a bit where
Al Gore says something about the wizards having done
something to harm the universe and the camera pans to
a funny-looking guy who looked something like the
wizard in the Monty Python "Holy Grail" movie. He's
crossing his arms and saying something like, "Sure,
blame the wizards!" I got a real kick out of it.
~Nicole, who thinks this was all probably a lot
funnier when she saw in than when she described it. :)

"You haven't got a letter on yours," George observed.
"I suppose she thinks you don't forget your name.
But we're not stupid--we know we're called Gred and Forge."
