Why don't you let the occasion/theme limit the
possibilities? If you take materials not solely
revolving around Hermione into consideration,
your kids would probably love hearing about
Halloween as the WW celebrates it. The
descriptions of the various Halloween feasts
might outdo the kids' real-life Halloweens but
what fun!
Or you can do a list of wizarding candies...sort
of a what-treats-might-Harry-get if he goes
trick-or-treating in the American WW. Candy corn
would surely pale in comparison. If you go with
this, you can hand out some "Bertie Bott's Every
Flavor Beans" and add audience participation by
having the kids' report on what flavor they think
they got. I'll bet at least one kid will insist
s/he got a vomit flavored one. :)
I like all the other suggestions too but
considering the age of your audience, something
to do with the treats that is undoubtedly
associated with Halloween in the tiny tots' minds
would serve your purpose very well, I should
think.
