This is the first I've heard of this - where did you hear about it? I
remember an article in which JKR said she anticipated that HP would
be for obsessives and didn't expect the series to be as universally
popular as it is, so I'm surprised she would be disconcerted by our
obsessive analysis!

Me again:
I thought your letter was eloquent and wonderful, but the above
statement got me wondering whether I'm the only HPfGU-er who
*doesn't* think Harry is more powerful without a wand (at least not
as of Book 4) and who suspects Snape of being ever-so-evil?
