should read Lori's Paradigm of Uncertainty

Philadelphian? She really incorporates some of the 'magic' in 
Philadelphia - back in colonial times, many of the city leaders, 
including Ben Franklin, were involved in alchemy-derived projects 
including philosopher's stone things, and the history of the city is 
intertwined with seers and magic-seekers, like Madame Vlablatsky of 
Sansom Street.
