moved from Main List: on not having children

This is an interesting discussion.  I have also chosen not to have 
children, and I sometimes feel like I have to explain myself. There 
are always a handful of people who assume that I made this choice 
because I don't like children or babies.  Nothing could be further 
from the truth!  I think kids are wonderful, and I adore my nephew 
and nieces; but I just do not see myself as a parent.
