         I know it's celebrated in the UK, although those little boxes of 
Valentine's cards you get at the grocery store seem to be an American 
thing.  (They might be in Canada, too, but I'm not sure.)  I don't know 
about the rest of the world - then, I barely recognise it myself, much to 
my husband's chagrin.
