London driving

I agree about the parking (though IMO it's for the greater good that 
there isn't much parking), but I'm not convinced about the driving.

Sure, people are much politer in the countryside but there are many 
more indecisive drivers.  At least in London you know that if it's 
selfish and they can do it, they will: I value predictability in 
other road users even if it sometimes slows me down.  Out here you 
get the problem of the ditherer and the over-polite - e.g. the 
person who stops to wave pedestrians across, who are then in danger 
of being mown down by the other car that's decided to overtake.
