Used more often by people over 40 than those younger. Our new
principal used the phrase "hootchie mama dancing" in reference to a
few of our students who were shakin' their groove thang with uncommon
vigor at the football game, and caused massive eye-rolling among the
students.

I'm pretty sure this is actually "'do-rag," as in, a rag that
protects one's hairdo.

Another couple of ones from the South:

"I wouldn't piss on his rear if his piles were on fire," used by an
army man to express disdain.

"You look like ten pounds of flour in a five pound bag," used by one
woman to another to indicate that the outfit she's wearing is not
flattering. "Flour" is sometimes exchanged for more pungent nouns.
