The first thing that has to happen is you and your DH need to be 
on the same page. Kids are very good at detecting these kinds of 
differences between their parents and exploiting them.

It could take anything from a heart-to-heart talk to marriage 
counseling to get you two working together, but I'd start with the 
heart-to-heart, which means you and the DH take a few hours 
away from the kids to discuss this.
