Summer birthdays (WAS: Missed a trick)

Hey! And what about us poor spring babies! I haven't spent a single 
birthday since I was * twelve* not steeped in books, cramming away 
for finals. And not only do you get to spend the day indoors 
studying, oh no. You also hardly get any presents from friends. "I'm 
sorry but I've haven't been out *at all* lately and I swear I'll get 
something really great when the exams finish". . . in a month.


Yeah, whatever. Sigh.


In fact, I can vivedly remember taking Modern History for my 
university entrance exams on my 18th. 


"And *that's* what it means to be an adult", said my Mum.


Charis Julia, who's nameday is on Christmas day thereby ensuring that 
everybody forgets that too. Grumble, grumble.
