I was just considering posting about that, myself! I
have an early June birthday, which, ever since I was
thirteen, has fallen on or just before final exams
week. This year (my twenty-first birthday), I had two
papers due and a presentation to give. All I wanted
to do afterwards was sleep.
Most people, aside from my family, completely forget
about it or are way too busy with their own studying
to do anything. While the *real* summer babies used
to get their birthdays announced at school on their
half-birthdays, the poor exam week ones got nothing
(except during my senior year, when I knew the guy who
read the announcements).
Combined holiday present syndrome happens to me every
few years, too, because my birthday also coincides
with graduations.
So take heart, summer birthday people! It could be
worse. ;-)
