The EDS corporation (based in Texas) has always been known for 
enforcing a strict dress code for its executives. The story goes that 
a few years ago, EDS was opening an office in London, and they were 
orienting their local new-hires. They were told that the men were 
expected to wear suits and ties, and the women must wear dresses or 
pants suits. A ladies' suit with slacks instead of a skirt was what 
they meant, but imagine the horror on the faces of their female 
executives!
