Ages ago I worked at British Telecom's research labs in Suffolk, UK. 
They were changing from a `preffer a suit' company, to a `smart but 
casual' company. At one group meeting I told my group that we were 
all expected to dress "west coast". One of the group looked confused 
and asked "You want us to dress like the Welsh?"
